Did you check out Park Point south of Sky Harbor? Lot of blueberries down there. Poison ivy too. Back in the early 1980s, when Canal Park was mostly a run down skid row, I made it as far as the 12th St beach. This year I saw the ruins of the light house and buoy depot down by Superior Entry.

I enjoyed the report - wish the camping would have been better for you, but it turned out to be a good get away! The key to enjoying adventures, is making adjustments, and I thinks you all made good choices! Had to be hard to leave day 2 when the weather was so good. Hope your future adventures go well also!

Thanks for sharing your experience. It's a great lesson in the flexibility we should all have when setting of out wilderness adventures!
