Entry Point 27 - Baker Lake

Baker Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Tofte Ranger Station near the city of Tofte, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 26 miles. Access is a boat landing at Baker Lake with a 10-rod portage into Peterson Lake to reach first campsite. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

Great report and pictures. It sounds like you guys had a great time. I'll bet you already have this year's trip planned. There's nothing like fresh fish from crystal clear waters. My two sons are my fishing buddies. We always enjoy the thrill of fishing and camping in the Boundary Waters. We have a trip planned to Sylvania Wilderness this summer, but hope to get back to Boundary Waters real soon!
