Good job JB!!! How was the campsite on yodeler?

Far out JB!! My kinda trip report.

Joy is a great teacher, but so is dispair. Wonder is a great teacher, but so is confusion. Hope is a great teacher, but so is disillusionment. And life is a great teacher, but so is death. To deny yourself any of those in any aspect is not experiencing life totally.

Great job! I see the water is up a little. I soloed this as an overnight trip about five years ago... takes me back. I climbed onto the big beaver pond on the other end in exactly the same spot as you did. It's a welcome sight to see that much water after crossing the bog. Don't know if you found it but there is an old portage on the right that takes you from the beaver pond to Yodeler. A huge cow moose came out onto the bog as I was half way across on my way back out. Of course my camera was buried in the pack at that time! I suppose the camp site is moved back to the north end of the lake again. The FS keeps moving it to the south and trippers keep moving it to the north.

bumabu: the fish were biting and the boys wouldn't let me out of the canoe to check on the campsite, sorry.

PortageKeeper: I think the water was up because of the 6" of rain that came down on me on the 4th. Never heard it rain so hard and the thunder was deafening.

I wouldn't have wanted to carry that doe back to civilization. Pizza looks great, I told my wife about the pizza Diva made at Wing Night and we're definitely going to add it to our camping menu. Great report, looks like something I'd like to do.
