It's to bad about the weather. I hope the boys on your trip get another opportunity to enjoy the BWCA.

Wow I hope I get a few more trips under my belt before I experience a wet camping trip like that!

I just returned from a 5 day trip with my two daughters (ages 12 and 13), and it was the wettest, coldest and windiest trip I've experienced in the past 10 years! The girls were troopers, however, and they are going to help me post a trip report of our 45 mile adventure. Of course, the day we departed the temp was 75 and it was sunny outside...

We were surely in the same weather pattern! We should have "trooped" it out a bit more and stayed a couple more days. Looking forward to reading your report.

Good report Fitgers. Its helpful to be reminded how nasty the weather can be up in the land of the Jet Stream. I'd say getting out was right, especially since it was the consensus of the majority. I'm gonna try mid-summer this year and hope for some stable weather.
