Very entertaining report! Thanks for taking the time to share your story & photos.

I didn't think one person could have that much bad luck on one trip? :) It's a great credit to your wife to overcome that and still keep smiling & coming back for more. Glad to hear, despite all the hard luck, you all still had a great trip.

BTW I didn't see anyone who looked "Grumpy" in any of your photos. :)

I really enjoyed your trip report. My husband and I have been taking canoe trips to the BW for many years. Our first trip was a little "bumpy", but we fell in love with canoeing in this special place and we have returned every year. I can't imagine a year without the BW. Best wishes for many more "couples" trips!

Hey nice report Grumpy! I am going to take my wife on her 1st real trip next month on the same EP. It will also be my youngest son's first trip (he is three).

Sounds like you learned a lot, and I can only hope that my wife wants to go back again.

THANK YOU for that report Grumpy. I so want my wife to go on BWCA trips with me. I know she would love it, but she is queasy about the conditions. I will have her read this report and say, "See, you are just like Carleen, but once you go, you will love it!"

Your wife sounds like a real trooper! When our trips zig when they should have zagged, we call them "adventures" and it sounds like you all had quite an adventure of your own.

Glad to hear your wife enjoyed the trip in spite of (because of?) everything and is eager to go back. Maybe there was just enough adventure to keep it from being totally boring ;).

Great trip report. Glad your board name wasn't 'because ' your wife went with.
