I'm enjoying following your "journey" and eagerly await the next installment. I'm so happy I was able to start taking longer trips too.

Very nice! Sent a link to my wife, who's joining me this May/June for her maiden voyage. Your interests, experience, and enthusiasm levels seemed near enough to each other, and I'd love her to hear a gal's perspective. Thanks!

Not sure if you got a chance to read my first trip report or not. Boonie eludes to it in the comment above. Our very first trip was the year before (Honeymoon Trip). Thanks for the response and tell your wife she will love it!

Just read the honeymoon trip report. Equally well done, and precisely the thing the wife needs to hear :-) Thanks...again!

Great report, easy to read and entertaining. I took my wife into Quetico on a couples trip in 2009 and I'm planning another one next year. I usually go with a group of guys every year but my wife wants to go back so I'm glad about that.

Very good pictures and I especially liked the bleached tree limb that looked like an arm. You're right, it did look creepy. Awesome, great job.

Enjoyed your trip report, I've traveled the Moose River a couple of times and all I can say is it's a lot more fun going downriver over beaver dams then going up river over beaver dams. FRED

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fourtune to remember the ones do, and the eyesight to tell the differance.

Another nice job on the report, PixiePaddler! You have skills--canoeing and writing about it!

I have to say that I am a bit jealous of you and your husband: While I have a son I can enjoy the BWCA with, my spouse just does not have the passion for it. We went on only one trip together and it was one and done!

Once again my trips have seemed to parallel yours(such as how we've each experienced wolves on Boot Lake). I, too, have a close up from our campsite on Nina Moose Lake of Mr. Chipmunk cleaning the dishes after our meal. Though I especially like how you caught him sticking out his tongue!

Also liked the "beckoning hand" photo. It IS a bit creepy!

Excellent report and pictures. I would just love the opportunity to to share the BWCA experience with my wife. As of yet, I haven't been able to convince her that she could do this and it would be a lot of fun. We camp a lot, but just not in places as rugged as the BWCA & Quetico. Thanks again for sharing!!!
