Thanks for the report. A couple of years ago I went from Long Island across Kiskadinna to Omega, and I was tired. Your report brought back some memories. I'll bet you all - and especially your husband - were exhausted by the time you reached Davis.

Nice report! Sounds like you had a great time minus the long portages

Hubby's thinking it's time to try out a kevlar canoe. I'm all for it! I'm almost back to full strength and should at least be able to carry a pack again on the next trip. We're quickly figuring out our bodies can't take a beating like they used to.

Yeah, Kevlar is good. Getting younger would help too. So would being in better shape. I'm not as young as I used to be, nor in as good shape. Even Kevlar hasn't totally made up for the difference. :). But I'm still going and I don't avoid portages, but...I wouldn't do Muskeg-Kiskadinna-Davis in the same day ;).

We need to get smarter in addition to younger and in better shape ;-)

Thanks for sharing. Nice to see a youngster enjoying the outdoors. BTW: Splurge on a Kevlar canoe next time - your canoe sherpa will be very grateful!
