Are you there now? Did you notice about 3000 Mt Bikers

Much thanks. Great area. The campsite was empty, as were the lakes. Had to cross a county Rd for one of the portages. Ultra light gear for fishing. Small largemouth and lots of blue gills. Some of the ponds that dot the area are stocked with trout in fall. Hatcheries place them there after they lay eggs in the hatchery. Lots of the lakes have winterkill. Th

anks for the suggestion.

I have been to these lakes before. They are small and peacefull except on the weekends in the summer time.

We camped there back in June/July? 2017 and it was pretty crazy with party people in the campground on Sat night. By about 11am on Sunday though there were only about 2 campsites occupied. The canoe trails are very scenic. Lots of 10-16inch Largemouth Bass to be caught on the canoe route lakes. Easy fishing if your interest is food and not size. The lakes are very small though so understand that.

Sawmill lake is a little south of Hayward-about 9 miles north of Birchwood. It has been many years since we were there, so I'm not sure about fishing, but it is a nice quiet area with several lakes and canoe trails in the area. There is a boat landing, but motors are not allowed.

Sawmill lake campground is small, maybe 25 sites on 2 loops, no electricity, and was very quiet.

Looking for some solitude on a lake site where I can fish all day from my canoe. There are some flowages as well up there that have good walleye fishing? Thanks for any suggestions.
