12/27/2017 07:55PM PineTree, it was the end of December last year. I have the X-Trace Universal bindings on those skis and I use Gore-Tex hiking boots with 6MM neoprene overboots which I am good in to -30F if I am moving. If the bottom drops out, or if I have to slow down or stand around I have another pair of insulated overboots that can go over the whole works. Yes, I love the East as well. |

12/25/2017 12:09PM Very Very nice report. It is something special about traveling on ice-snow with skis. So many people missing a great thing, but it sometimes harder do get setup doing that first trip and of doing winter camping and cold. What Month of the year and how did your boot-ski system work? That whole east end is some of the most beautiful area anywhere. Looks like you had a great time and made very good time on your trip for a very good loop. |
