I have been into all three but not on the same trip. The one furthest west does have large mouth and pike. It's a nice little lake. I haven't done the portage to the middle lake but I have been into the west lake several times.

I have done the other two lakes from the east end. I didn't have a lot of fishing success in either of these lakes. The portage into the furthest east can be tricky depending on the beavers. You will see a pond between Quetico and the first lake. In that area it can be totally flooded. The last time I went in there I found that the portage entrance from Quetico had been moved to the south side of the pennisula to avoid the water. You may have to look around a little. The portage in the middle lake from the east was slogging along the side of the creek,

Anyway it is worth trying once.

Those have been considered, but I haven't been into them yet. Maybe next week?

Nothing earth-shaking to add other than my buddy and his group went in there a few years ago and it was bass haven. Can't remember if he said smallmouth or largemouth.

We are heading into Jean on June 15th for eight days. Looking at the maps there is a series of 3 lakes in between the north and south arm of Quetico lake. A loop back through those lakes is an alternative to back tracking on Quetico. I've searched and came up with some older posts. I was hoping someone could provide update on portages, fishing, (smallies and northerns), campsites, etc. on those lakes.

Thanks.
