Here are some notes from my 1999 trip:

July 24 (Saturday)

Fort Frances is just across the border from International Falls.
From Fort Frances drive approximately 66 miles on Highway 11 to Flanders Road. The sign is on the left side of the road.
Turn Right onto Flanders Road. It is a tough drive. Washouts and big rocks - at least for a pasenger car. It is slow going. Top speed is maybe 15 mph -- maybe.
Drive 4.9 miles till you reach a "Y" intersection with road # 7-3.
Bear left at the Y and drive another 5.2 miles to an unmarked intersection with road #7-4.
Turn left and drive 4.3 miles past Dinner Lake. Stay left at an intersection just prior to the road’s end.
There is a parking lot for 20 cars.
Portage 75 rods to Beaverhouse Lake. This is a wide level portage.
Paddle about 5 miles to the Rangers’ Station on the south side of the lake. Wind can be a big problem on Beaverhouse.

Contact Canoe Canada Outfitters in Atikokan. Jim or Bud could give you directions, or you could park at their place and pay for a shuttle to Beaver House.

Hello All - I was wondering if someone knows of a website with directions to beaverhouse entry point in Quetico. I have maps and what not, but wanted to see if there are suggested roads and what not from MN. First time driving up there, haven't been since I was a kid.
