Wow! that looks great! Guess I'll have to get a jello ring.

Just used a lid from and old pan. I scored another Jello mold pan last week at a thrift store.

Funny how the kids looked a it. "Mom when you die now there is one for each of us." : )

I just found the answer in Dogwoodgirl's thread on Jello mold ovens. Looks interesting. May have to try it out.

You maybe could speed up the time by turning up the heat I just didn't want it to burn.

I would say quartered it's equal to four pieces of pizza. Does that help? I hope.

This was a rainy day kitchen experiment and I used my MSR Dragonfly Stove. I had it on a lower burn so it didn't see to take that much fuel. I think it would work just fine on the fire grate as other Jello-mold recipes do.

When I practice, even though I'm in the kitchen, I only use what I would have when I trip. Flexible cutting board to roll out dough with a water bottle and so on.

quote airmorse: " That looks great. Did you have any issues with over cooking the bottom of the calzone???"

I have two jello-mold pans. I put about 1/2 to 3/4 inch of water in the bottom pan.

Next I set the pan with the pizza ring into the pan with the water and baked it.

When the top was crusty but not brown and the sides were a bit soft yet I dumped it out on a plate.

Then I placed the pizza ring back in the mold crusty side down and baked it again W/O the water pan below.

No problem with over cooking the bottom.

What I'd do different: More cheese!

Whoa...I think we have a winner here.

Fascinating - I was planning same thing - having discovered JMO's here. Just seems to make dehydrating more critical.
