quote 2rookies: "Thanks for the comment. If you don't mind me asking, what was on your menu? This is our second trip and trying not to take too much food, again. "
Breakfast items include oatmeal, egg beater eggs (frozen and used to help keep stuff cold in cooler), hash browns, egg store dehydrated eggs, bacon bits, precooked bacon, coffee, and hot coco.

Lunches are all on left end. Jerky, gorp, and protein bars, and a drink packet of some kind. Either we are fishing or on the move so this is how we do our lunches.
Supper first night of steak, garlic spuds, and corn.
The rest of the time it’s usually a hamburger helper type of meal. Dry our hamburger and also use the bag chicken, and spam singles. Also do pizza one night and usually spaghetti. And one fish meal for me.
Desserts range from instant pudding with Nido milk, brownies, or popcorn.

I also had a soft side cooler with cheese, steaks, frozen egg beaters along with two frozen gatorade bottles with ice tea and lemonade in the 60L.

You will have no problem at all in a 60L for 12 days. Here is what 10 days worth (for two, one being a teenage boy) along with a couple extra meals last year and not even close to being half full.

It might depend on how much your dogs eat. Maybe measure their food for two weeks and then put that much in a bag and see how much space it takes.

My wife is going with me. We triple portaged the last trip and are planning to single portage this summer.

From what you described there should be plenty of room for all of that and more. I have one the barrels and they are quite large. Is there any one else going with you or is this a solo trip?

I am going out for 12 nights. I plan on bringing granola bars, peanut butter sandwiches, trail mix, one bag of freeze dried per night, and enough dog food for 2 small dogs. I am renting a 60 liter barrel. Will I be able to fit all this in a 60 liter barrel? If not, any advice on how you would pack this?
