05/29/2012 08:57AM Bernice is a picky eater. A few weeks ago Ben and I had dinner in Ely and brought leftover hamburger pieces and french fries out to the vehicles where her and my dog were waiting. Bernice ate the hamburger but wouldn't eat the french fries. My dog Freddie will eat anything except pickles and rhubarb. |

That's the finger most affected by my latest little bump. Looking forward to being ready. Darn! Forgot the breakfast bars again. I have one more trip to the store planned before I go. I'll try and see my doctor... But no promises. The trip must go on! To many people depending on me. :) Got a BA Copper Spur today to use. Seems pretty simple. The one I ordered isn't here yet. Spot is all set up I hope... We'll see how it works. Jan, I'm sharing a link with you. It will come up as Dennis's Spot. At least you'll know I'm alive. :) Everything almost ready... Just looks chaotic to me right now. It's getting better... |

05/28/2012 09:14AM Dumb SPOT is eating up time trying to get it set up. Just don't have it together for my food yet... It's coming! New tent isn't here yet so going to plan B... The Lean is just too big for this trip. The Lean 1 might have been a better choice for that. Got my hand in some hydraulics the other day. I don't think I broke anything but the swelling is not going down. I am getting feeling back in my fingers though. Thought at the time I might have crushed something. Some logistics with fellow paddler is sketchy and I like things a little more concrete. Do I have to much... to little... enough? Starting to get a little nervous for the 26 day adventure. The last 12 day part is actually going to be better as I feel more relaxed about it. |
