09/12/2007 07:29AM Wow, what a way to come back from my recent trip to the BW. I'm honored to have been picked, there are certainly some outstanding photos in this thread. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate very well last week for photo's but we had a great time none the less. We did survive thursday nights down pour without a single wet tent... Thanks Again!! |

08/27/2007 09:57PM SNOWBAY..June 2007 from the tip of the island camp,east side,inside bay. nice camp but the island to the West blocks the sunset, but gave this nice effect at a telephoto setting

08/27/2007 06:14PM Photo was taken at 6:30 am 8/18/2007. we are at the first campsite northwest of entry point 32, south kawishiwi river. the temprature was 40 degrees and the fog was rolling off the water like it was boiling.

08/16/2007 06:44AM Wow. Awesome photos. It took me a while to decide which sunset shot to submit, but I decided to share this 70's-esque pic that I snapped last June on Ester Lake. As much as I like the way it turned out, it reminded me of disco-era romantic art, so for Christmas last year, I super-imposed some cheesy lyrics from our wedding song over the image and mounted it with gloss to a slice of tree stump. The plan was to turn it into a clock, but I thought that might take it a step too far.

08/10/2007 01:53PM Not from BWCA, but was with boy scout canoe trip in French River Provincial park 7-14-22 in Ontario. Canoed out to far NW corner of the Georgian bay. After a long day into the wind, camped at the finger board islands and took this shot(s) 7 19. A reward for the long day. Within 15 minutes every color in the blue/red/purple spectrum. All 9 of us mesmerized. Hard to do with 14 year olds. See my journal for other examples.
