Fishguts -
sounds like you had a great trip! We took the boat tow up river with you - I'm sure you can't forget the red kayak and all our junk. Hope you stayed cooler than we did!

Jim,
We just got back from Quetico. We entered at McAree #43, had a tow from Crane Lake to Customs, then to Zupps to buy fishing licence's, then to The Lac Lacroix Ranger station to pay camping fees. Then the Brewer Rapids drop off. The tow was from Zup's and went down the Loon River....fast & fun! We took the 220 rod portage into "Little Gratton"....wonderful largemouth fishing, then to Wickseed and Darkey, then to William. (we caught lots of walleyes & northerns here.) From Wiiliam we went down to Brent, and on to McIntyre(Caught Lake Trout)just off a great site with a message Jar.We exited thru PP.
Let me know, and I'll give you more details on any of these areas. Here's a picture of a Northern I caught on William.

Hello All---
I am heading to Mcaree lake this August and getting picked up at Mudro lake by van 8 days later. Have a good idea on route but was wondering if anybody had any inside information on the following area. Minn, Darky, Brent, Mcyntire. We have traveled all parts of the park except this region, would love some pointers.
Thanks for the info.
Jim
