Yes mine showed up on Tuesday on line although I knew what it was since the end of the year as I have an REI Mastercard and it shows a running total on each months bill.

Every year REI disappoints me. I can never use my dividend for what I want. Last year all I wanted was a MSR flex 3...REI stopped carrying it. This year, I want a windpro 2 stove, yep, they don't carry it. Ugh.

I would also love an enlightened equipment quilt, but no dice with REI. I guess I'll have to buy some overpriced clothes again.

I love REI. I especially love going to the big mothership stores in Seattle, Denver, and Minneapolis. The only stores I like going to as much are electronics stores and gun shops.

But they're usually dramatically over-priced. I like to go to put my hands on some gear, then usually do an online order from Mountain Gear, Sierra Trading Post, or another retailer, once I've found the item I like. But... when I travel for outdoor trips, a stop at the local REI is always a necessity for last minute stuff like the stove fuel I can't pack in my luggage, or whatever I have inevitably forgotten to pack, or a bear canister if that's a concern.

I hadn't realized I spent so much at REI in the last year. I guess outfitting the kid for summer camp every year adds up. I don't really buy a lot for myself there anymore, much accumulated gear over the years still works or I have moved to other gear makers to meet my wants and needs.

Got mine. Guess I didn't buy much from REI last year. $1.00 is not going to go too far in helping buy more gear.....Maybe it is a sign that I have too much "stuff" already.

You can always cash it out after a few months.

Really! I had no idea, that is awesome news. I'd much rather buy what I really want than settle for something else only because it's what REI is carrying at the time.

REI has Dividend info on their web site including how to get the dividend as cash or check after July 1.

BTW, I agree about their selection. It seems to me that several years back they carried a wider range of choices and almost everything from a manufacturer like MSR. Now they pick and choose what they carry. I did manage to spend all of last year's dividend in the store but it took a while.

Got mine and used it along with the 20% off sale to grab a Nemo Galaxy 2P tent for only $8.44. The cashier said it was the best deal she had seen all day.

Many many years ago their catalogs showed more gear and technical info that compared things like tents (ok, that was before the Internet). Clothing was raincoats, ski pants etc, not everyday "fashion" clothes. Now I'm glad they make coats and such that is functional and looks good. But it would be nice to have more gear choices.

I ran everything, and I mean everything ( gas, groceries, etc. through my REI Credit Card last year (with monthly payoffs) including a 40th anniversary Caribbean cruise and a church mission trip for 12 people. So I gleaned a substantial dividend.

My wife is pretty much relegated to car camping these days so I used it on a Kingdom 8 tent with garage and ground cloth, plus a couple hiking trail guides, tarp polls, hiking polls, and odds and ends. Using the 20% discount on the tent and the dividend I put very little on the card which I just paid off again.

Looking forward to getting her out to the woods again.

Just used mine on my first ever camp pillow... I feel like I am becoming soft, last year I used my dividend for my first ever camp chair and now a pillow. Always use my dividend for some non-essential item that I have always kind of wanted.

Me too Kev... they must have thought we died or something compared to other years. Sometimes we just don't spend. Hmm, better make up for it. Haha.

I put my $400 towards an ORU Beach kayak. I even got to use the 20% off coupon. I cant wait to use it this weekend once I figure out how to put it together.
