I am planning a trip out of EP 23 in late May. I was doing some research on the Minnesota DNR Lake info. According to the last survey there are no Walleye in Gull Lake. Is that correct? Does anyone know if that is incorrect and Gull Lake contains Walleye?

Gull has lots of walleyes. Be careful if you base camp there. We did a few years ago and clogged our water filter with all the sediment floating in the water. Lake is relatively shallow but there are some honey holes in it.

Gull. Lake next to Bald Eagle? I slayed walleyes there twice. My son when he was twelve or so caught three nice ones right away on a day trip there. I like that lake a lot. Good memories of that lake.

We caught walleye in Gull about three years ago over memorial weekend. It is pretty shallow like db said. <10' almost everywhere but we found a few deeper holes. The first site on the lake coming from Gun is fantastic and a short trip into Thunder and Beartrap is a must if you go. LOTS of pike in Thunder and Beartrap has nice sized eyes

Thanks everyone. I am hoping to make it as far as we can the first day. We will be double portaging. I hope to make it to Beartrap. I am not sure if we will be able to make it the first day or not. I am at least hoping to make it to Gun or Gull the first night.

Yes, there are walleye in Gull. We caught some nice bluegill also.

The Gull lake next to Gun lake I did not catch walleye. As some have suggested it's a very shallow lake, not much more than 10' anywhere in the lake. I caught smallies in there but no walleye. We did catch some bluegill as well.

The Gull lake near Bald Eagle we definitely caught walleye, much bigger lake, much deeper.

OP was talking Gull lake through Mudro 23.

The 'eyes are in there. And 1 day in is definitely doable with an early start if you're double portaging.

and if you can find the gills.....they're bigguns
