Having joined the Wabakimi Project for Week 1 the last two years, and again this year; I'd like to do a longer trip across the interior of the park, or some significant loop. However, I'm minus a partner/s, for an extended trip, beginning no later than Sept. 1 for up to 18 days or so. I've tossed the idea to some old friends, no takers yet. If there's a congenial and dedicated soul out there with the same wilderness urge at about this same time, could tolerate an old guy who snores and is a stiff as hell first thing in the morning; well toss me an email, and we'll get acqauinted.
I could always try going solo, but if I did I'd stick to the BWCA.

My current plan is to leave Oregon some days after the solar eclipse event (Aug. 21st) in my trusty Prius with my by then refurbished Bell Northwind and make my way...as I've done a few times with my dear wife in the last few years. (she doesn't want to do that again, especially driving through states that voted for you know who)

I've posted a few canoe trip videos which can be found at:

I wish I could do that, Dave. There's a private group forum called trip partner finder where you might want to try posting this. Good luck. have a nice trip whatever you end up doing.

I can't make that time but sent email with addresses of some who maybe could and might be interested. Ray T.

Well...no Wabakimi partner...but I've done 4 short BWCA solos this September. Doing the B Chain Olifaunt in Quetico next week with my daughter. For soloing I found i liked my Bell tandem better than the wenonah Encounter I rented for one trip.
