I am 6'3" tall and a bigger guy. Due to this I will purchase a 2 person tent for my BWCA solo trips. I have been comparing the MSR Hubba Hubba HV and BA Copper Spur UL2 for a while now. Both look like great tents. I have come to the conclusion that I can't go wrong with either. The BA tent is lighter but it appears from the reviews to be made of slightly less durable material. There is a thread in this gear forum where many indicate that they are using the BA CS series tents. The BA CS also is listed as being 6" longer but it appears that the walls are not as vertical as the MSR HH. Due to this it seems that the useable length will be about the same. I have always been a fan of MSR tents and have never owned a BA tent. If you could share your thoughts and experiences with me it would be very helpful. Thank you!

I am not 6'3"........and I still usually take a 2 person tent on solo canoe trips. I have always been an MSR man and have owned 5 or 6 various MSR models including what I use now for solo trips > Hubba-Hubba.

Having said that my opinion would be in agreement with yours, that you probably couldn't go wrong with either tent. To bad you couldn't go to an REI or like store and try them out. Sure being tall has its advantages (I.E. being able to grab stuff off the shelf easier) but it is also fraught with unintended consequences (I.E. always looking down on your fellow man.......head and feet sticking out of tents etc. etc.)

As a former chewing gum representative, I love the Hubba Bubba reference.
