I have read about some people crushing fish in the bdubs on this lure. I have never used one, but am thinking about buying a couple. Very similar to a Mepps but with a bump in the shaft. Just curious if anyone on here using them.
If so what size. I see they come in sizes like 104, 105, 106 etc. I'm thinking about size 104 or 105 bc I assume they are similar to a mepps 4 or 5.
About ten years ago I was fishing downstream from a guy who was catching fish while I couldn't buy a bite. As he was leaving I asked him if he minded sharing with me what he was using. It was the Oslo spinner. As it turns out he was the inventor of the lure and then gave me a half dozen to try. The next day I caught 3 rainbow trout using his lures.
Honestly though I think they are as good as any other spinner. ~JOE~
I dug around for 5 minutes on the web.......they sound like they have quite a following among shore trout anglers for browns and steelhead coming out out of the Great lakes into the rivers. But some other guys mention pike fishing in Canada so go figure.........
I like the shape with the keel type weight.......probably removes quite a bit of line twist. They look like they have a live rubber skirt........only one model has a brass blade, Orange on orange with brass blade. I like it! I might have to get a few (I'm way to easy, sort of like a tackle slut;-).........maybe THESE are my Coaster brook trout secret lure LOL!
