They are no longer made if you are referring to the Woodsman II or III from Galyans. Those were made by Bell for Galyans.

I have a Galyan's Woodsman III that's a Bell Drifter hull, and when getting it I found out Bell also made the Northwind hull labeled as the Woodsman III, and the Morningstar hull labeled as a Woodsman II. The boat in your photos is none of those, and I haven't seen one like it before. It looks like decent boat in the pictures, but I don't see any pictures of the bottom of the boat.

Is there a hull identification number stamped onto the hull anywhere, or on a metal tag riveted to the hull? That number will give you the manufacturer as well as manufacture date, which would help figure out what it is.

the name plate reads "WEMSPARNE606". the manufacturer ID "WEM" pulled up CONFLUENCE WATER SPORTS. which does list Dagger and Mad river as two of their brands.
I read in some blogs that it might be manufactured by mad river horizon 15, possibly built for Dicks sporting goods (2006). the only thing that confuses me is that the seller said it was 16'?

At one time I thought Bell, made all the "Woodsman" canoes, but I found out different. That deck on yours looks like a Mad River vinyl deck? I mistakenly bought a "Woodsman" 3 or 4 years ago thinking I was purchasing one that was the equivalent of the Bell Morningstar. Nope, it was the hull of a Dagger Suwanee. Difference was like the difference between a thoroughbred and an old "Nag."

Check the specs (length and width amidship) and tell us. If it was a Horizon, it's not a bad boat. A Suwanee is good for beginners and for floating and fishing. Paddles like a bathtub, though.

Here's a picture of my Woodsman, the Dagger Suwanee version. I sold it to a friend who uses it as a "Loaner" for inexperienced paddlers:

Unless he actually measured it I'd take that with a large grain of salt. I've seen all sorts of way off lengths given in classified ads.
