The "Sting" of having to part with my W&C Pal is lessened now as I finally coordinated my pick up of my used Nova Craft Pal from a gentleman in Michigan. He dropped it off in Kokomo, IN with a friend and we weathered 70mph winds and hellacious storms to get it home. Can't wait to give her a real good paddling (LOL)!

Looks like a beauty. I've always been intrigued by the Pal, but still have yet to paddle one. Hope it works out well for you!

Heheheh, too much here AND there, Luke (LOL)!

BTW, remember that strainer you cut? Well, the two trees next to it must have been leaning on it? Only way through is that hidden channel on the far right where I went. Unless the present flood makes a NEW way through?

Ha! That's the problem with hacks like me just whipping out the saw cause I was too busy drinking beer to pay attention to what the rio was doing. Hadn't occurred to me before, but maybe the river took away my Sven last November as penance. Well, I bought a Silky to replace it, so take that, Current! Did I read that y'all are coming down next week?

As some others, we were cautiously optimistic until last night. My wife's last remaining aunt is going to have heart surgery next week. She's pretty close to her, so, losing my Arkansas trip. BUT, less than 2 months for my BWCAW trip!

Winemaker, the little town my friend lives in is Tipton, IN. So I'm sure you know it? My friend Jeff was one of the first regular attendees to our twice a year Ozark Rendezvous. But he got married to a sweet lady, sold his Nova Craft and his Moore canoes, and quit paddling the last few years as life got in the way of paddling trips.
