I will be on the Outdoor Connection show tonight on WONE 980 AM out of Dayton, Ohio. The producer said the interview would begin in the 8:30 to 8:45 time frame. Will probably be discussing local fishing in the Great Miami River, along with my fishing adventures in the Quetico and Boundary Waters.

Well now I'm not sure if my interview is going to be "live" now. I have the radio station on right now and a minor league baseball game is just starting. I sent an email to the producer to find out what is going on. Maybe they plan on taping the show and airing it at a different time? If I hear back on any details, I will let you know. Sorry.

Looks like due to the Dayton Dragons game, the first hour of the show will be 11 PM tonight and the last two hours will be Sunday from 5 to 7 AM, so if you aren't doing anything Sunday morning around 5:30 AM (eastern) tune on in......LOL

Next time I think my first question will be is this interview LIVE......

I assume you mean Klinger. Toldeo is AAA and Dayton is single A, so they don't play each other.

It won't be this weekend, going to get a lot of rain and river will get blown out. Been catching a lot of nice bass this spring on the chartreuse spinner bait. Let me know when you will be in the area next and if I am available I will take you fishing. How does that sound?

I did the interview last night. They said it will air first at 5 to 6 AM this Saturday with a repeat from 6 to 7 AM (eastern). You can use the link up above to listen on line if for some unknown reason you are up that early on a Saturday with nothing better to do.

They also said there will be a podcast at some point, I will provide a link once it is available.

I assume WONE has a strict contract with the minor league team that requires them to air the games live. Typically the baseball teams control the content and when and how the games will be broadcast. The revenue generated by the baseball team is probably extremely important to the station so they don't want to piss off the team and possibly lose that large, long term revenue stream.

Unfortunately you get bumped so they can fulfill their contract and cash the checks. Nature of the beast.
