OK, Routing on that stretch of the lake runs east-west.... the north shore is not recently burnt, and it has some birch trees... if Cowdoc nails this one without further hints... that would be something!

Heheheh, he doesn't need much, does he (LOL)? That's why I led out with an obscure picture.

As most lakes off the Gunflint, it is predominantly east-west with almost no islands. Here's a loon fishing in front of one:

"No," but it certainly does look like it from those pictures. There are several pics that I could use that would give it away, however I'll wait and see if we have to go there. Here's a campsite photo looking south:

Clearwater has north shore campsites that would face south, one island that fits the Loon view and certainly would have views that would be a dead give away.
