Just got my beautiful new CCS Rucksack this week!

- Custom color - (the new plum as featured in the Wanderer) GORGEOUS!
- Side mesh pockets (also a feature of the Wanderer)
- Breathable arm straps (again a feature of the Wanderer)

I actually didn't even request the different/breathable arm straps, but Dan Cooke is SO good - and knew I was going to be primarily using this pack for my hiking adventures on the SHT, and thought I'd appreciate a less sweaty/more breathable ride.

Talk about top notch customer service!
If you're not already doing business with CCS - I strongly urge you to check them out. Their customer service, and attention to detail is unparalleled!

Thanks CCS!!!

Very nice. I may need to give Dan a call. I couldn't decide between Ruck, Bushcrafter, or Wanderer. Your custom is a great combination of Ruck/Bushcrafter size and Wanderer features.

"Custom" is their middle name after all. Always cool to see somebody get the exact product they want.

How's the capacity for your hiking adventures on the SHT?
Day hike only? Overniter? Extended trip?
When you first posted I thought it may be a bit small.

Good looking rucksack for sure!

Actually - I was slightly nervous it would be a bit small too, but I invested in lots of lightweight stuff, and went to hammock camping, and it fits everything I need for an overnight trip all the way to a week or possibly multi-week trip (depending on the food of course.)

I probably have enough room to pack food for a week and be happy, but longer than that I'd use a bump box to keep my pack light.

I would consider that an odd color - "odd" in the sense of custom which is as it should be. Very nice. I have one in "somewhat royal" blue which I like too. It is a good pack for its size. Very durable.

Not such an odd color at all, CCS Wanderer

I saw some CCS packs at the Midwest Mountaineering Expo in that plum color. I really liked it!

I grabbed an olive green Wanderer at Canoecopia in March. To me, I found the perfect pack to carry with the canoe on portages. Can't wait to break it in. I saw the plum color there also but I'm a sucker for anything olive green.
