I love BWCA. I was hoping someone could give me the name of an outfitter or personal guide for my upcoming trip at the end of this month. I would go with my regular guide, but I only have myself going this year and cannot foot the entire bill myself. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Looking to fishing all day on Basswood lake including bait and gas. Thanks

Sorry, I will be deep in the heart of Quetico at the end of the month. Man, that sounds good to say :)

That's too bad. I am waiting for an outfitter to get back to me. Hopefully someone chimes in.

Feel free to give us a call. Please be aware that if you want to fish Basswood you must have a permit in your name. The USFS is really cracking down on Basswood Lake permit stub abuse.

Or you could link up with Masterangler if you get smart phone service on the lake. He could guide you from his office chair at home. ;). Sorry MA....feeling groggy and could not resist! :). oth

Ha! Thats how I know you like me.......if you pick a little. All in good fun ;-)

Actually I was thinking "why even hire a guide"...........especially on a lake like Basswood. Fish are going to be shallow and spread out and fairly predictable. On the other hand guides are usually good company and can be a big part of the fishing experience.
