Most folk know I am a big fan of fas snaps for light tackle usage. But there may be those of you who do not wish to struggle with such a small clip and have to retie each and every time you change a lure. These actually work rather well and are fairly easy to use and don't usually require "reader" glasses to use.

Looks good. Would you say this is the one? (a 50-pack) I wasn't sure if there were different sizes.

Not so sure a guy needs a 50 pak.......although thats a good price. They also come in various colors. I would like black personally. I bet 10 would last a fellow a long time. Size would be the thing which would be hard to figure via a picture. They do sell these at Bass Pro where a guy could see them in person although I don't remember ever seeing black. They are a tad big generally speaking but if ease of use is of high priority these are the ticket............Just squeeze to open................plus I like the round bend they offer which helps with a lures action. So, get rid of the split ring and bada-bing use these........better physics for the knot IMO than a split ring which I generally despise.

Thanks. The ones I have are tiny with not much 'round bend radius' and with only fair eyesight, sweaty brows, and ten thumbs...... they are often a pain.
I plan to find these "hands on" and pick a size. They may be the greatest thing since sliced bread with that round bend!

I've never tried those before. May have to pick some up.

I did pick up a pack of Lindy Swivel Clips to try this year.

Hooky I love ya but I don't like the look of those one little bit.

I bought a pack of these a few years ago. Haven't use them much. I found them difficult to open with my big mitts, especially if my fingers were cold. Mostly just use the various snaps.

If they were made by Savage Gear and were $14.99 each, you'd be all over them. ;-)

I'll let you know how they pan out.

I learned to avoid those way back in my first years of walleye. Very unreliable. If find any still hiding in the various pockets of my insulated flight pants, you can have 'em.

The speed clips work pretty well for me; very good idea removing split rings from lures. The hook up better to a fixed loop than they do to split rings that want to slide around.

I have been using the speed clips forever. I only use them on cranks and traps, and sometimes topwater. I would not use for tubes, grubs, jigs, senko, fluke, etc, etc, etc.

They are dang strong, and I've never bent one out, not even when muscling in 50lb asian carp that have been snagged.......

FUN.

Later,

Geo

I admit to having a strong propensity towards top of the line stuff in pretty much every aspect of my life and that usually translates to high dollar. My wife mocks me saying "oh it has to be the best for Al"...........Probably a good reason why my retirement plan is not where it should be (but by golly I have a dang good sleeping bag lol).

Gracias!

I'm going to use them with reaction baits. Can't see them working for anything that's line shy, but pretty sure it won't be an issue with bass or pike.

Hooky I won't speak for Schweady but he basically reaffirms my first impression.........its not so much a presentation issue (although I dislike that as well) but rather a reliability issue. Plainly put they look like they could fail........particularly where the swivel is put together.

You got it. Cheap swivel. You experience a bit of sticker shock when shopping for good swivels, but these cheapos can steal a good portion of your day's trolling with having to deal with twisted and snarled lines.
