I just picked up a used pack on eBay. It's a Granite Gear Patrol Chief. Made for Special Forces. It's a really nice pack, which I decided to try out because I have two GG Quetico packs and love them. The Patrol Chief has a 5500 cc capacity, actually larger than the Quetico, and is nice because it loads from the top but you can also open the front via two zippers, which eliminates that PITA when you have to dig for an item, which always ends up in the bottom of your pack! There are internal straps to keep things contained and to keep the pressure off the zippers. It has a really nice and light frame structure, and has pockets for hydration bladders. Also has the MOLLE straps all over the outside for attaching stuff anywhere. I bought it used for $170 which is quite a discount from new. Lots of them are selling for $300-600. I would recommend it if you find one reasonably.
