+1 Quetico Mike.
Sometimes some scented plastics like Gulp, Powerbait or TriggerX turns on a slow bite. Sometimes it adds nothing especially when fish are aggressively hitting.
I used to bring in a whole flat of night crawlers (approx. 500 worms) into Quetico before live bait ban. And I have to say that live nightcrawlers will out produce scented baits by a wide margin when fishing for walleyes. Whether you are pulling spinner harnesses, jigging, bobber fishing, or TGO method.
So I have learned to adapt to using scented baits when I am Quetico each early summer fishing for eyes.
Tight lines.

Yep, just like color of a bait. Sometimes it makes all the difference, sometimes it makes no difference.
The two loudest sounds known to man: a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.

quote carmike: "I've never noticed much of a difference, to be honest. I do tend to prefer "regular" plastic because I don't have to worry about the Gulp noxious juices. "
There is probably a little "something-something" going on with the Gulp or power pro and it might be a difference maker at times but I am to concerned about getting the odor all over pretty much EVERYTHING as it get transferred from packages to other tackle and then on your hands and of course onto your clothing etc.
I have visions of some bruin grabbing my tackle backpack and heading off into the woods with it. Who knows what they find "interesting".
Lets Go!

Agree with others, the results vary. Gulp doesn't have the action some other plastics do, so sometimes I find other plastics work better because they appear more lively. Then at other times the scent does seem to matter. Right now I bring trigger x grubs, be fishin moxie grubs, and then a few GULP minnows 4".
