Ill be up next week and im getting my last details together.

Im bringing two rods and a spare reel, I was going to have one spooled with 30lb fireline for pike lakes, one spooled with 10lb mono trilene xl for multipurpose, and I wanted suggestions for what to spool my other reel with!

Thanks in advance

8lb is more "multipurpose" than 10lb. 10lb is pretty stiff for fishing slip bobbers, and will not cast small lures as well as 8. You can land big fish on 8lb, it just takes a while. If you are taking 2 spools, I would take 8lb for bobber fishing and 6lb for casting small walleye cranks.

8 lb. fluorocarbon. Multipurpose, sinks, less visible to fish, good knot security. Stout enough for cranks, sensitive enough for jigs.
