Any opener reports?
We got one nice walleye and a bunch of pike over the weekend along the Trail. One football-shaped 18.5" smallie as well.

I fished for about 4 hours on Saturday evening. My mom caught two 3-4 pd lakers and lost one at the canoe. I caught a small pike (minus one) and lost a trout at the canoe. It took me two hours to find some fish but it was a gorgeous evening and we had fresh trout for Mother's Day.

Any idea of water temps right now?

Post some pics of your catches, I always love to see fish pictures!

Surface temps were around 51 degrees on the main lake basin I was fishing. I'd guess back bays and smaller lakes have surface temps around 55, give or take.

Well...the 2017 opener was more of a work weekend than a fishing weekend but we got out and fished Saturday evening. My buddy caught the above fish at my lake place in Alexandria, MN. Didn't measure, wish we would have, got it back in the water ASAP.

We were thinking between 26 and 28 inches. This was definitely the warmest opener I can remember! As always a fun time fishing with family and friends.

Avoided the crowds this weekend but hit G stone today, many many rainbows, nothing big .
