weather/wind was good :) we caught about 15 lakers and 6 pike. sunday i CPR this beauty ( she gave me a heck of a fight and sat there for over 30 minutes (up right) until she took off)(didnt weigh her) , and a pic of my son's #5-11 and i did good on a CD9 rainbow trout pattern. seagull

they were still reasonable shallow , but that will change quickly.

Nice color on those fish........I like that coppery dark. Looks like you had good weather, must be livin right!

Pretty fish. Spring lake trout are a lot of fun on light tackle.

yes it is , caught on dead sucker , but most of these fish are feasting on the larva hatch. just packed with bugs.

Nice photos and fish Shock. We caught some nice walleye from that site a few years ago.

Got my motor going for my trip next week!

yes a great campsite for shore fishing , but i will say this if you get a nasty wind from most directions besides west , you may wish you were somewhere else, i went out to the rock on the point casted most of the day(tuesday overcast) with a jig spinner and a CD9 and mixed in a rattlin rap for aggressive fish hoping to hook into a walleye but no takers except lakers , which is a good problem ;) walleyes should turn on soon. old pic from 1991 on this site , a few more trees standing. the wind eventually ripped those tarps down.
