Does anyone have any experience with the Columbia Supervent II ? I have a pair of Sperry's that were similar and liked them but I have worn them out to the point that I wouldn't trust them lasting a week in the BW.

It looks like they would be a good 2nd pair to bring. Use around camp or day trips and fishing. It doesn't look like they have a lot of tread.
I use the Soloman Tech Amphibian which looks similar.

Haven't worn the Columbia shoe, I can give +1 on the Salomon Tech Amphibian, the soles give you a good grip on wet rocks. When mine wear out, I'd definitely buy another pair, The good news is that they're on sale at REI for a p[rice pretty close to the number you had on the Columbia shoe. Tech Amphibian

I have the Columbia Drainmaker, which I swear by. I don't want/need the ankle support of a boot, and the enclosed mesh of the Drainmaker prevents unwanted twigs and rocks from sneaking in while portaging. I also purchased a second sole insert to bring along on trips; that way I've always got a spare in case of really wet travel when the shoes don't air dry thoroughly due to the high humidity. Mine have been on six or seven trips so far and show no signs of any problems. Despite the look of the tread, I've been impressed with their traction on wet rocks, etc. No issues thus far from Columbia brand shoes.

AdamX, Do you wear them all day, portaging and all? Like you mention, I'm not too picky about the ankle support and traction. I wore my Sperry's both while canoeing and around camp, if they ever got muddy on a portage they cleaned right up the next time I walked in the water with them. I was interested in Keen's but I like the closed sides, it seems the tiniest pebbles can cause the most pain.

Not all Keens are the same. These don't have the side vents that go all the way to the sole and the heels are closed. Don't have any issues with pebbles or twigs when wearing wool socks with these.

Yep - will remove them after traveling for the day, including portaging, and dry or rinse them off. I have a second pair of shoes I wear around camp. Even in some good muck, I've not had these shoes come off my feet.
Hope this helps
