How's it been so far this year? We are going up in two weeks. Seagull, Alpine, Red Rock, Jasper, Kingfisher etc.
I just wonder with the weather being a little different this year than in years past.
Thanks

I caught this last weekend but with the temperature drop and rain fishing slowed quite a bit.

I was kicking around the idea about heading up to Sea Gull & Alpine... But I'm seriously unsure about water temps, and what the weather has done to the possibility of catching Lakers this time of the year.

Do you not think the water temps are still cold enough for good trout fishing? It doesn't seem like the water temps are too much above 50 right now I would guess.

Indeed, it is a Splake. Top water temperatures right now is about 60 degrees.

Was on Crooked from 5/17 - 5/20. Gun on 5/16. (bigger fish from camp) Gun was warmer then Crooked where Water temps varied from 48-53F. Males still had spawn. Warmer waters produced the most fish in and around current. Leeches didn't work as well as Gulp (minnow look a likes) Minnows-- especially in the current. Small mayfly hatch maybe on the 19th,, but it appeared localized. Fishing should only improve with water temps rising....

Had good luck with Lakers on Sag and SAK last week, just before and just after the rain. I'd guess we were running about 20-25 ft. deep. One much larger laker lost at the boat.
