First time going into Crab Lake. Where do most people park/put in? Google maps is not being overly helpful on finding a public boat ramp/parking area.

We are "wussing out" and taking a tow- so I was going to follow our outfitters suggestion...

There is public boat landing on van vac road. 1 mile west of burntside lodge.

I always liked the public access off the Wolf lake road on the west side of Burntside.

There is a landing off the Van Vac road, about 1.2 miles after turning left from County road 88.
There is also a landing off the Wolf Lake road, which is rather small.
Both landings are about equal distance from the Crab Lake Portage.
