I'm heading to disappointment lake next week. I read a post on here and they were talking about silver phase pike in disappointment lake. I looked up the fisheries survey on the lake and it didn't mention it. I know snowbank has silver pike so disappointment very well could. I just don't want to put myself on a wild goose chase.

P.S- any fishing info on this lake would be helpful. It's a new one to me.

The state record silver pike was caught on disappointment awhile back. It was beat by a snowbank specimen but it is no longer recognized in the record books as a separate species. I've never caught one on disappointment but they are in there. All my silver pike on snowbank have come on a leech/slip bobber fishing humps for walleyes.

Heading to Disappointment myself next Saturday. Last trip we didn't catch any silver pike but did do well on pike trolling crankbaits, casting topwater baits, and this nice pig on a leech and bobber.

Yeah the survey is a little dated. It's from 1999.

i meant since the DNR has removed silver phase pike from a separate category/species from pike.
