Just got a trip set up for June 16th out of entry point 84 and I am pumped! Fishing will be the main priority and we are planning on splitting up our time between gabbro and bald eagle. Looking for walleyes and pike mostly but I am also interested in the smallmouth bite. If anyone has information on the area I'd love to hear it! Any and all is appreciated..

Speaking for Gabbro, I was up there a few years back and caught 7 species of fish on the same day with the same lure in the same 20-30 foot stretch of drop off. None were huge but a couple were good eater size. Near Bald Eagle's dump into Gabbro typically has quite a few fishermen lined up drifting but I'm sure you can find my other spot if you try hard enough. It's a small'ish lake.

For pike you should take a day trip over to turtle lake. Its stuffed with gators.

You should find plenty of fish in Gabbro and Bald Eagle. When we were there three years ago we caught an endless supply of walleye and smallies. Definitely spend some time in the rapids between the lakes and hit up the rocky shorelines in evening for smallies. Definitely get to Turtle for pike, and you cannot be in this area without going to Pietro. The day trip to Pietro is not easy, but it is more than worth the effort! Crystal clear water, packed with big hungry smallies that you can basically sight fish...amazing experience!
