This is what I rigged up. I use u-bolts to go through the base and around the thwart in front of me. I use a 12v 7ah battery that is half the size of a vexilar battery and mount it right behind the unit.

I like your storage bag.
I have a 12v 20ah lion battery which I have yet to test much. It is very lightweight. I am thinking with the light weight solar chargers that I could go lighter on the battery and maybe take two in case one fails. Charge one while using the other.
I am also interested in mounts. I have a SI unit so will have to get below keel. I like the simplicity of yours.

It's pretty hard to beat the showdown in my opinion. It's very compact with great battery life, it will run all week on a set of batteries.
I made my mount from
UHMW with a small carpenters spring clamp and am very happy with it. No need for a transducer mount. It shoots through my hull no problem or can be dangled over the side.
