Did the best with the green pumpkin tube, 3.5 inch with 1/8 oz jig head. The second best lure was the ZMAN RaZor on a Zulu rig with size 4 ball bearing swivel.

What are you doing with these plastics, running them along the bottom from shallow to deeper? Even a high level overview of your technique would be most appreciated.

I worked these lures at all depths during certain times depending on the location.
I sent you several articles which might be helpful.

I am heading into the Q next week...hoping they are as aggressive as they were a couple years ago about this time. 18-20s seemingly every cast.

I just really enjoy the fight in the smallmouth. The smallmouth in the river I live on fight even harder than those northern lake smallmouth, they just don't get as big. I have caught 15 - 17 inch fish out of the river since I have returned and they felt like 3 or 4 pounders when I fought them. Can't get enough.

We had an 8 AM pick up at PP.

We saw you on North Moose Lake. I said to my son, I think that's Quetico Mike. He knows you because I love my Zulus now. My digital broke the first day of the trip and I missed out on a pic of a 22 smallie. I took the back up disposable camera though and brought it in today. (1 week processing) Hopefully we can share our pics next week. Thanks for all your advice!!!
