Can anyone help me out? Looking at a 16' Tripper with ash wood trim? What do you think of the boat? How stable is it? Would it make a good tandem for the BWCA? What about price? Appears to be in great shape

I have a Nova Craft Haida which is very similar. It's longer and slightly flatter-bottomed, but still very similar. My Haida is super stable and great on big open water. It's a little happier with some weight in it than empty, but it's not a must. It's pretty rough on small rivers, but that's about the last thing it was ever meant for.

My wife and I have taken many BW/Q trips in a 15' Bobs Special. Plenty stable if a bit jumpy and splashy in waves. The extra length will come in handy with the Tripper.
