Looking at getting one, which one do you suggest as I am thinking they may come in different thicknesses.

Trying to stash instead of hang my food.

Not all blue plastic barrels are the same thickness plus some have a white plastic liner to them. Also the handles are different on some.

Another place to get them is Recreational Barrel Works. Also check out ebay for them as there are some on there now. Search 8 Gal blue barrel. Recreational barrel works

If you are not set on blue barrels a 5 to 7 gallon bucket with gama lid is a good substitute.

People also use the square kitty litter buckets with the one piece lids that don't hinge. What is nice about them is that you can get two of them in a #4 pack side by side.
