A group of 4 of us will be paddling out from Rockwoods headed through EP47 on Wednesday morning (June 21), anyone else planning on being in the area?

We're looking to grab one of the good sites on Horseshoe and would appreciate it if you'd keep one available. :)

Thanks in advance

P.S. How has fishing been on Meeds, Allen, Caribou, Horseshoe, Gaskin, Vista?

We just got back from ep47 on saturday, stayed at rockwood our first night and base camped on horseshoe the whole time. We fished very little with very little luck, we did hear of a couple other campers with some success with walleye on leeches and bobbers though. Every campsite was full the entire week, when one opened up it quickly was scarfed up by the next trippers through the area. We had many canoes paddling up to our site to see if it was occupied, most went on to gaskin. Highlight of the trip was a cow moose and 2 calves strolled right through our campsite while we watched in awe (without a camera in sight!).

Nice. I have done this EP 4 times in the last 6 years and it has consistently gotten busier every year. Seems to be a hot area.

We have seen moose and calves on Horseshoe as well, it's a pretty special thing. Glad you got to see them.

Thanks for the heads up on campsites!

You bet, I'll probably post a trip report when I'm back.
