When the water temps are cold, I'll wear a pair of Sealskin socks with my Crocs. During the warmer months it will be just my Crocs or a pair of Chaco sandals I have. Both allow for good water drainage so most of it goes back to its original source instead of in my boat.
That's all for now. Take care and until next time...be well.

Just returned from a two week trip and put some new merrells to the test. They were the Sieve Water shoes and I have to say I'm impressed. Other than in camp I wore them pretty much constantly. Only issue if I had to say would be all the little rocks and such that make their way in. No big deal though. Other than that they worked great for me for portaging and wet footing. They are exactly what I've been looking for over the years. Nice and light, relatively quick drying, comfortable, easy on and off, heel locks in nicely, intuitive lacing system and some actual TREAD! I have yet to do any paddling where I was wearing anything other than wool socks and sandals like Keens. If I were to ever paddle in the winter then I'd consider boots or something else to keep my feet dry.
