You know; when if you cast to a ....say....6' ccircle , you have a fish. Not trophies but average . Like they are in line at the cafeteria....; on after the other for awhile.
You miss that circle by a foot or two and no fish. Hit it ...and fish on. Mid lake, point, reef, narrows, mouth, dam......sometimes that hot spot is small.
From a mid lake canoe with a drift sock (or two) and anchor . Or paddle back-drift by and repeat. Hard to stay over them sometimes. Then I bank or :) camp fish! oth

I remember catching huge dinner plate crappie with my Dad one after another in lake Earie of all places. They were stacked in one little spot.
