Looking for suggestions on night-before lodging options close to EP32 (South Kawishiwi). I know Ely isn't that far but wondering if there's something closer. Bunkhouse would be perfect, car-camping is the fallback option. Thx, TK.

I've never stayed there, but River Point Outfitters is out that way.

I'd agree on River Pointe as the closest, at least that I know of. I've stayed just a bit up the road at the USFS Kawashiwi South campground. Basic tent and camper sites. Very quiet and close to your put-in if River Pointe doesn't work out for some reason.

Voyageur North Outfitters has some nice and fairly inexpensive bunkhouses but they are in Ely.

RiverPoint would be your best bet. They have nice bunkhouses and showers.

Beware of thieves at EP#32! We came out of the woods today and at some point of the week someone stole 2 wallets, a pair of shoes and a duffel bag of clothes out of my locked truck!
