Water levels in Northern Wisconsin are near 30 to 40 year highs. What are the water levels like in the Boundary Waters right now. This is an important thing to know about regarding portages and what to expect. Can anyone share their recent experiences? I am planning a trip later in the summer. TIA. JerryG

I completed the same loop this year as last. Almost the exact same dates as well from EP14. May 29th through June 12th. If I had to guess I'd say the water was maybe 6-8" higher than 2016. Sorry, I could be off but it was definitely higher. Also this is nearly a month ago so I'm sure somebody else will chime in with more updated information for you.
