By the last week in August you might be able to talk one of the outfitters into selling you one they have rented out for the summer. I got mine (the same boat) from Piragis in early Sept. a few years ago. They turn their (whole ?) fleet over every year.

The look on the girl's face when bought 5 tickets was hilarious. So I'm pretty sure I'm garaunteed to win this year.

I have a neighbor who bought one new from Dicks Sporting Goods last year. They have to move south, and want to get rid of it. It's probably pretty much like new. If you want I can ask what he wants for it.

I believe is the Kevlar UL, with adjustable bow seat and foot brace on the stern. He's asking $2000 for it. I haven't seen it up close since I helped him pick it up last year, but it should be in excellent shape. If you're interested, I'm sure he'd be happy to send you pictures.

I'm in Minneapolis, and he's moving in the next couple of weeks, but if it makes it work for everyone I can hold it at my place until your trip up here.

I'm interested as to which outfitter gave you a 'Maybe'.
I actually put money down on a used Spirit II at Piragis and I'll be taking a look at it tomorrow or friday.
I will let you know if I decide not to buy it.

My neighbors just got loaded into a moving truck, so unless you want to pick it up in NC, it's probably off the table.
