I am taking my kids up for the first time so we are doing it the easy way, have a cabin at Tuscarora booked and 5 days to entice a 4 and 5 year old boy to love the boundary waters. Any suggestions for day trips in that area? I would like to get them to some falls and also on some fish. Planning on at least 2 or 3 day trips in the 5 days.

An awesome daytrip that I did with my wife one year was Round, Missing Link, Snipe, Cross Bay, Ham, out at the Cross Bay River parking lot, and short walk back to Tuscarora Lodge on the road. We fished by the falls that flow into Cross Bay from Rib that are right next to the portage and caught a few walleye. We hung out at an open campsite and had lunch there. I think it took us about 4 hours to do it??? It's a beautiful area. I really liked Snipe.
