Does anybody have firsthand experience with one of these?

Can't find one anywhere local for touchy feely. I'm afraid it may be too hot a tent for central Texas.

I have one and you are right. Gets very warm if placed in the sun. Other than that a very nice durable tent!

I have an "Outfitter" Assault 4 - we use it in the "shoulder" seasons. It has good ventilation when we need it plus stays warmer than my ultra-light mostly screen tents.
Nice tent but pretty heavy - 15# 8 oz.

We typically only camp in the "Texas Shoulder Season" mid October to mid/late May. Lol. Hopefully nights are in the upper sixties or cooler. Looks like it has a couple side vents and the doors?

My little one calls me the sun because apparently I put off some pretty good heat, the wife's cold hands and feet love me too.
